Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of the VPN Oxide website, our applications and your subscription. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. If you don't accept them, please don't use VPN Oxide.

01The service

VPN Oxide is a consumer virtual private network. When you connect, your internet traffic travels through an encrypted tunnel to one of our locations and reaches the internet from our IP address instead of yours. The service is operated by Software Intelligence LTD, Nikis 36, Nicosia, Cyprus — a company established in the European Union and bound by the General Data Protection Regulation, the strictest privacy framework in the world. That is deliberate rather than incidental: we keep no connection logs, no traffic logs and no usage records of any kind, so there is no history for anyone to request, leak or lose.

A VPN protects the connection between your device and our network. It doesn't make you anonymous, and it doesn't protect you from malware, phishing, or from information you give websites yourself while signed in to your own accounts.

02Your account

You need an account to use VPN Oxide. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done through your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to it.

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live.
  • An account belongs to one person. Sharing your credentials with others, publishing them, or selling access is not allowed, and our systems flag connection patterns that indicate it.
  • Every plan allows five simultaneous connections, on any combination of devices.

03Billing and renewal

Prices are shown in euros and are the full amount you pay, including any tax that applies. You pay for the full term up front — monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, or for one, two or three years, depending on the plan you choose.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term so your protection doesn't lapse. Renewal is charged at the standard rate for the same term length, which may be higher than an introductory or promotional price. We email you before any renewal charge. You can turn renewal off at any time from your account, and it takes effect at the end of the current term.

If a payment fails, we may retry it and suspend access until it clears.

04Withdrawal and refunds

As a consumer buying at a distance in the European Union, you have 14 days from the day the contract is concluded to withdraw from it, without giving any reason. Email support from the address on your account and we refund within 14 days of being told, using the same payment method you used. Crypto payments are refunded to a wallet address you nominate, in the currency you paid.

If you asked us to start the service before the withdrawal period ended — which is what happens when your account goes live immediately — you owe a proportionate amount for the days you had access, and we deduct that from the refund. On a long-term plan that amount is normally a euro or two.

The withdrawal right applies to each purchase, including renewals. You can also switch off automatic renewal at any time from your account, which costs nothing and takes effect at the end of the term you already paid for.

05Acceptable use

VPN Oxide exists to protect ordinary, lawful internet use. The full rules — including scope of the service, permitted and prohibited activities, sanctions compliance, responsibility for third-party users, and our enforcement rights (suspension and termination) — are set out in our separate Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), which forms part of these terms. In summary, you agree not to use the service to:

  • break the law in your country or in the country of the server you connect through;
  • attack, scan, overload or gain unauthorised access to any system or network;
  • send spam or any unsolicited bulk messages;
  • distribute malware, run phishing pages, or commit fraud;
  • share, transmit or store material that sexually exploits children, or content that incites violence;
  • infringe someone else's copyright or other rights;
  • resell, sublicense or rebrand the service, or work around technical limits we apply.

We take abuse reports seriously and act on them. Because we don't keep activity logs, we usually cannot connect a complaint to a specific customer — but where we can identify a breach, we may suspend or close the account without a refund, as described in the AUP.

06Apps and licence

While your subscription is active, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the VPN Oxide applications on your own devices. You may not copy, decompile, modify or redistribute them. The software stays the property of VPN Oxide and its licensors, and where an application is distributed through an app store, that store's own rules apply as well.

07Privacy and logging

VPN Oxide is a no-logs service. We do not record the websites you visit, your DNS queries, the contents of your traffic, or the IP address you connect from. We do keep the account data a subscription needs — your email address and payment record. Full details are in our privacy policy.

08Availability

We aim to keep the service running continuously, but we cannot promise it. Maintenance, upstream network problems, and regulatory blocking in some countries can all interrupt access. Individual server locations may be added or removed. We are not responsible for connection speeds, which depend on your own internet line, your distance from the server, and conditions on the wider internet.

09Intellectual property

The VPN Oxide name, logo, website, copy, graphics and software belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. Nothing in these terms transfers any of those rights to you.

10Warranties and liability

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost data or business interruption arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits your statutory rights as a consumer in the European Union, or our liability for death, personal injury, fraud or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

11Suspension and termination

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is used fraudulently, or where we are legally required to. If we close your account for a reason that isn't your fault, we refund the unused part of your term.

12Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version always lives at vpnoxide.com/terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we email you at least 30 days beforehand. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

13Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Cyprus, and disputes go to the courts of Cyprus. If you are a consumer elsewhere in the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
